On Saying "Oops"

It seems to me that our culture refuses to accept that everyone fails at some point. It is as though we have a zero tolerance level for errors. Shortcomings serve as signs of incompetence and merit punishment. We expect perfection.
We're all still human, aren't we? Shouldn't we have figured out by now that we all make mitsakes?

I stumbled upon your site and read this past post.

Why is it that we humans, as Christians especially think that we are alone in our failings? We're supposed to be perfect by world standards... but no one ever achieves close to that with hiding problems and pretending they don't exist. Why do we think for even one second that we need or have to go through any of that alone? When we do think such things we are yet again giving in to what Satan wants. Us. to think we are alone. But we aren't. We all sin, we all fall short. But God gave us community and fellowship to help each other. Not run and hide behind masks that we put up long enough to make it seem that we don't make mistakes.

You're exactly right. Everyone fails at some point.
